Our Mission

EVPlugScout was built to solve a simple problem: finding a qualified, trustworthy electrician to install an EV charger is harder than it should be. We created a national directory of verified, EVITP-certified contractors so homeowners and businesses can find the right installer with confidence.

Every contractor listed on EVPlugScout is a licensed electrician. Many hold EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certification — the industry gold standard for EV charging installation work.

Contractor data is sourced from public records including the EVITP contractor database, state electrical licensing boards, and other publicly available sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing and encourage homeowners to verify contractor credentials directly before hiring.
